Following the product test of the "FelgenBeast" cleaner from Sonax, a product test was carried out with the InsekenStar from Sonax. Who hasn't experienced it in spring/summer: countless insects stick to the front of the car. Be it the windshield or the headlights. At this time of year, these annoying contaminants are almost unavoidable. But the InsektenStar from Sonax is supposed to help. As this is already the third Sonax cleaner that I've tested, I already know the Sonax motto: quick, easy and thorough cleaning ! Let's see whether the Sonax cleaner lives up to this motto again this time.
The first impression of the InsectStar from Sonax
InsektenStar is available in a practical spray bottle with a capacity of 750 ml. This bottle is also ergonomic and has grooves for the fingers. This makes applying the cleaner comfortable and also ideal for smaller hands. On the back of the bottle there are clear instructions for use and a short description of what the cleaner is suitable for. There are also notes to look out for when cleaning. As you would expect from Sonax products, it is quick and easy to use. The exposure time is just 3 minutes and all insects should be easy to remove.
What the InsectStar from Sonax can really do
I used the cleaner directly after testing the FelgenBeast , so I also tested the InsektenStar in the self-service car wash. Since we haven't driven the car very often recently, there aren't many insects on the car, but there are still a few on the windshield and license plate, as well as in the area of the headlight. So I spray the cleaner generously on the affected areas and let it work. After the exposure time, I first take the brush and scrub the areas a little to make sure that nothing is left behind. Then I rinse the cleaner off thoroughly with the high-pressure cleaner and, lo and behold, all the dirt is removed and the car shines.
Conclusion
All in all, I find the InsectStar from Sonax to be practical for both large and small car washes . It reliably removes all of the dirt mentioned and is easy to use. The short exposure time is also a big advantage for me, as I usually don't want to spend ages cleaning my car. However, I have to say that Sonax cleaners generally promise quick cleaning and they also deliver.
