The care products for the automotive sector were sold under the brand name "SONAX". The company started with four representatives who drove all over Germany in their VW Beetles and sold the care products.

In the 1960s, the SONAX company achieved its ultimate breakthrough when it supplied the first fully automatic car washes with its high-quality cleaning and care products. At the same time, the care products for manual cleaning were further developed, as more and more cars were now being bought and proudly presented. Car care products were now in great demand and the success of the SONAX company increased with demand.
