Characteristics
- Virucidal according to RKI
- extremely user-friendly
- excellent material compatibility
- pleasant smell
- economical application concentrations
- compatible with chemo-thermal endoscope reprocessing
areas of application
Korsolex extra is particularly suitable for those areas that require a short exposure time with a broad spectrum of effects and economical application concentrations. Korsolex extra is suitable for all common manual and semi-automatic reprocessing using the cold process. In addition, Korsolex extra is also compatible with the aldehyde-containing Korsolex Endo system for chemo-thermal endoscope reprocessing.
Application
- immersion bath process
Korsolex extra is supplied as a concentrate and should be used in accordance with the dosage recommendations and the corresponding exposure times (see dosage table). To protect staff, all instruments must be disassembled or opened as far as possible into individual parts immediately after use and placed in a cleaning solution (Bodedex forte, Bodedex zyme or Bomix plus). During the subsequent disinfection, all surfaces or cavities to be disinfected must be completely wetted with the Korsolex extra solution. After disinfection, the instruments are thoroughly rinsed and dried.
- circulation process
Korsolex extra is suitable for all common circulation processes in semi-automatic and fully automatic (cold process) versions. Bodedex forte, Bodedex zyme or Bomix plus are recommended for pre-cleaning outside the device. According to the RKI recommendations for endoscope reprocessing, careful manual cleaning must also be carried out before disinfecting flexible endoscopes in circulation processes.
- Chemo-thermal endoscope reprocessing
If endoscopes are reprocessed both manually and mechanically, Korsolex extra can be used safely for manual reprocessing. Incompatibilities due to chemo-thermal endoscope reprocessing with Korsolex Endo do not occur.
- water quality
To protect the materials of high-quality instruments, we recommend using germ-free, fully demineralized water, especially for the final rinse after disinfection. Under unfavorable circumstances, even drinking water quality water can contain excessively high concentrations of minerals (salts), which promote the formation of pitting corrosion.
- Sterilization
Before sterilization, e.g. using an autoclave, the instruments must be thoroughly rinsed and dried. The steam used for sterilization must be free of contaminants. To ensure this, the standard's recommendations for the quality of the boiler feed water and condensate must be met.
- downtime
The shelf life of the working solution is 1 day. When using BODE X-Wipes, the shelf life is 28 days.
microbiology
Bactericidal, levurocidal, fungicidal, tuberculocidal, mycobactericidal, limited virucidal (incl. HBV, HIV, HCV), virucidal. Reports are available on request.
compatibility
Contact between aminic and aldehydic products should be avoided. Therefore, intensive intermediate cleaning must be carried out when switching from an aminic to an aldehydic or from an aldehydic to an aminic product.
