Description
Silicone wound contact layer for atraumatic wound treatment and to protect organs and other sensitive structures during negative pressure wound therapy.
characteristics
Atrauman® Silicone is a wound contact layer consisting of a polyethylene terephthalate (PET) mesh as a carrier material, which is coated on both sides with silicone gel (based on polydimethylsiloxane).
This wound contact layer is used for atraumatic wound treatment and is thin, soft, cuttable and drapable. The open mesh structure makes it permeable to exudate.
It adheres gently and securely to dry surfaces, but not to wet ones. This prevents it from sticking to the wound
Application
Atrauman® Silicone is a wound contact layer that ...
is used in the treatment of superficial acute and chronic, light to moderately exuding wounds of all types.
used as a protective layer on non-exuding wounds and on areas with sensitive skin.
to be used in conjunction with the Vivano negative pressure wound therapy system.
